3rd Golden Dawn reissue from Seedstock this year and the world is better for it. This time around we get Stefan Traunmüller's (aka Dreamlord) first demo as Golden Dawn. All music played by himself, raw and ethereal. First track Midgard is a nearly 20 minute side logan track (in 5 parts) with an opening riff that rivals some of the meanest current hardcore bands. Shortly after gets augmented with ethereal synth....drums are programmed, but so much time was taken....not just one rhythm programmed and looped. Dreamland's singing is also one of my favorite parts about Golden Dawn...has a Viking Metal vibe, but still comes off as mean and not cheesy like a lot of that shit feels for me. Cavernous. I have a couple copies of the other GD reissues that Seedstock did that I highly recommend as well. One of a kind black metal and yo this shit is honestly the perfect follow up to the Suicide "First rehearsal Tapes" I just posted.....20 years apart, now connected through the otherworld of the internet.
