State Laughter

Alias of Robyn Nice, prolific outsider musician who uses a different pseudonym on almost every release. Minimal to no information on each record and done in minimal runs. David Tibet of Current 93 likened him to Simon Finn (perennial favorite over here). Thats a fair assessment, but maybe moreso on other records, as this one is bare bones lofi acoustic guitar/vocals. "Pass The Distance" (Finn) was minimal, but complimented by subtle instrumentation. Haven't had much time to dive in as these just came in, but I'm excited to listen a little closer. If Finn, Bill Fay, Leonard Cohen, some of the more minimal Current 93 folk stuff is your bag, this is worth taking a chance.
