Robert Rental "Different Voices For You. Different Colours For Me" LP Highly Recommended!

Description
Ive always been a big fan of Rental's small catalog and seeing some unreleased things come out these last couple years (3 releases) is very exciting. This one resonated with me the most. Lofi guitar excursions over primitive rhythm box with buzzing synth woven behind. The intersection of synth and guitar has always yielded some of my favorite music, Solid Space "Space Museum" for example. Maybe because its sans Thomas Leer, but this record feels more personal than "The Bridge". I can see the cigarette smoke looming as sunlight races through the windows illuminating the bedroom. Bottles of ale, clothes disheveled, back against the bed, tracking layer by layer. Fall so the cold is biting thru the walls. I haven't investigated, but i'm hoping Rental has some more tapes hidden away as there a good 20 years absent recording wise in his life before he died in 2000.
