Bunkerpop is a favorite current reissue label of mine. Everything is done immaculately and while i wish there was a more frequent release schedule, i'm honestly happy that there is more dedication to the tedium of delivering something memorable than mass producing straight to dollar bin reissues of something no one needed to hear in the first place. ?FOG were a mid 80's band from Auckland, NZ...if you know me/follow me, you probably know my proclivity for this region/time period. Less on the jangle, a little more on the punk/ post punk side. Singer Sam Swan had previously sung in Wellington band Life In The Fridge Exists (L.I.F.E.), while the others had played in Riot 111 and the Laughing Cripples. ?FOG is heavy on the rhythm section...foreshadowing the noisier side of rock to come in the later 80s and early 90s. Not easy for me to categorize, which i appreciate....it means there is something you actually have to listen to.
