State Laughter

Played with these real life boys on tour a week or so ago. Last band we saw on tour and probably my favorite thing i saw all week. My friend Joey is in it and was in The Elsinores and more recently Teal Grapefruit. He has always played in interesting projects and this one might be my favorite. The current incarnation is drum machine/2 guitars/sax/vocals....This tape is fuckign sick throughout. At times has the dirge only Michael Morley of the Dead C can achieve, but it has a more American bent in the sense of some of the early lofi Folk Implosion stuff that i LOVE....I think its the dual tracked vocal delivery that gives me that Folk Implosion vibe. This could easily be a new record on Siltbreeze (Lax pay attention!) Excited to see whats next.
