State Laughter

Now dispersed throughout the world, Lyonnais as a band I'd go see live on weekends with other like minded sonic freaks has ceased to be. I miss not knowing what to exist....psychedelic era projections one night....Farbod like some bastard witch preacher, always visually appealing/appalling. Borrowing from the world of minimal kraut drumming of the 70's, textured guitar excercises than run the gamut of decades, extended release jams, Spacemen 4, Cold Storage Wars. I always wanted my punk friends to come see them. Ive always existed in multiple scenes/communities simultaneously. Constantly needing more/less refined fuel for my engine. Lyonnais always existed on a spectrum that converged my different worldly interests. This new LP sheds some of the massive walls the first LP created and reveals the gnarled skeletal structure of the band. Still references to the cloud guitar of the first LP, but in a more subtle way. I'm listening to this for the first time as i right this, so it's all still sinking in, but this is another great piece to the dark puzzle that is Atlanta.
