Jahari was an early 80's group of PPU alum and now Georgia resident Dwight Sykes. This tape is an 8 track comp of rehearsal recordings from the early 80's. Dreamy garage/basement R & B vibes. The shit PPU is known for. This shit really ties together rap, post punk, r & b etc together for me. You can see where all these genres were a step away from each other. Would love to see Jahari on a bill with like Cleaners from Venus and Death Comet Crew. Put this in the tape deck, glue your sunglasses to you fucking head and speed in reverse down your favorite highway or street while staring directly at the sun.
