Stephen Cogle is one of my favorite voices in NZ music. Probably more well known for his time in The Terminals, Victor Dimisich Band was his group prior in the early 80's. Like many in the early 80s in NZ, they float on an axis that balances Joy Division and the Velvet Underground. It's just music i never get tired of. Gloomy southern hempishere psych...like the sonic equivalent of incessantly bobbing your head into briny Pacific water and letting your head burst above water into a bright birth canal sun. Fan's of Roy Montgomery, the Pin Group, The Terminals, This Kind Of Punishment take note...although you probably already fuck with VDB.
