State Laughter

Dennis Young was a member of no wave group Liquid Liquid. His drums graced the tracks of 1000's of hip hop tracks for decades thanks to the break on their song "Cavern". This is another side of his work though. All synth explorations that echo what was going on in Germany the decade before. Fitting as Germany's Bureau B issued this. (Label is top's by the way...reissuing lots of great krautrock and likeminded music). Very Tangerine Dream/Klaus Schulze esque. Would have been really interesting to see how people reacted to these recordings in New York at the time...as they just seem from another world. Would be an interesting bill along with Ike Yard or Death Comet Crew. Hear some samples below.
