Browsing youtube comments....first one that catches my eye quotes Wolfgang Voight of Gas as saying "bring the forest to the disco, or vice-versa"...If thats not a statement on ones oeuvre than i dunno what is. Monolithic compositions that feel more like a screwed version of the dance floor concept. Time seems to stand still, move forward, backward....bodies harnessed around a pulse, orbiting...crackling apart, skin burnt off in ecstatic lunge toward fire. Growing up punk, most my experience with electronic music in clubs has felt more like an out of place novelty....never really experiencing much of rave culture....Music like this feeds my daydreaming of what i would want the experience to be like (if i was still in my early 20's and a hooligan).
