I feel honored to have had my mind blown at 21 or 22 seeing Peter live....easily decades older than his bandmates, the air stood still when he played. Machine Gun is the most accurate analogy to this side of his playing (not that he couldn't tame his horn as well). While not a jazz musician, he is still someone who has always informed my ideas on sound and i'm sure i've tried to imitate his cacophonous lullabies on my guitar form time to time. These bigger ensembles would scare off small armies. Essential.
