David Chesworth, of Essendon Airport and numerous other Australian ensembles, appears here on his 2nd solo LP, a departure from his first which was all synth miniatures...maybe a more straightforward "Commercial Album" by the Residents. "Layer On Layer" is definitely more for the Essendon Airport fans. Punk funk that is academic, but still anarchic. Thankful Chapter has been reissuing some of these previously extremely pricey Aussie classics...and at a really great price too.
