Zru Vogue "S/T" LP (San Fran Art punk classic)

Description
The 80's San Fran scene has always excited me and is seemingly still dripping with dozens of projects that seem to manifest out of thin air. Pink Section, Factrix, Units, Flipper, Nervous Gender....stop there and you've already won. I came across the Zru Vogue 7" thru some punk eBay seller years ago...typing in hype keywords and looking for cheap 7"s that were still obscure enough that no one new to look for them. Zru Vogue's music address's a topic (not unique to them) that i have been discussing lately: post-punk....one of those 2 words is correct... occasionally. There is not really a concrete connection to punk sonically in a good chunk of what gets grouped in as post punk, moreso just adjacent alternative movements that shared more ideologically than not. It's pretty misleading, but most can decipher that its a reference to time rather than sound. Anyways Zru Vogue reminds me of a local Atlanta favorite (especially on Nakweda Dream) Kevin Dunn. Dreamlike, sometimes funky....probably closer to Glorious Din than Pink Section though.
