Ron Geesin "ExpoZoom" LP
$20.00
Description
Geesin is most well known for his sound contributions to Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother". These tracks were constructed as loops to be played to 19 different short films on the British pavilion of the Expo 70 in Japan. They exhibit was designed spatial to be immersive in the sense that spectators could design their own environment depending on where they were standing, films/sounds overlapping. Design of the LP is really nice: 4 panel fold out printed front and back. The sounds are taken out of their context of the exhibit, but hold up on their own as interesting documents of 60s/70s musique concrete/electronic.
