State Laughter

First LP from California artist Barry Craig. Contemporary of Savage Republic, Afterimage and the Trance Port Tapes scene (which he ran). Meditative desert music, or Trance music as he coined it, but not Trance in the electronic dance sense. The desert side of the LA scene is so cool (and foreign) to me. I mean i guess it's similar to me driving a little north to the mountains in Georgia, but thinking of Hollywood adjacent to the desert doesn't totally register in my mind i guess. Anyways these recordings express a cool cyber sort of desert to me that is both hallucinatory and vivid. It's in the subtleties that i enjoy this one.
