Cluster "Grosses Wasser" LP

Description
This one is a nice bridge from their 70's work into the minimal futurism of Curiosum, which would come out 2 years later in 1981. Curiosum felt like a screwed version of some unreleased Kraftwerk demos for Man Machine....Grosses Wasser has those blueprints, but feels more connected to early 70's hippiedom...Not in an ideological sense, but in its pastoral embrace of nature as opposed to pocket calculators. I realize this is somewhat absurd as we are talking about a group who's main focus as always been the synthesizer, but I think you get what I'm saying right? Maybe it's the flute on Isodea...or the real drums or acoustic piano of Roedelius on the title track Grosses Wasser. I guess I just see this as the last breathe of 70's Cluster...which it is chronologically, but also sonically. Of course they wouldn't release another album after Curiosum til 94, so that's a whole nother story.
