State Laughter

The other day I found a Mariah record in a store my friend works at. I took it to the listening station as I saw they were Japanese and figured even though the covers were vastly different, that there was some connection. Oh it indeed was the same band, but you could have fooled me. This record however is great. Has a quirkinesses that a lot fo Japanese synth pop of the time has, but it has some nice really delicate moments....like I appreciate that its not herky jerky new wave. Some of the percussive moments wouldn't surprise me if Midori Takada was jamming with them. Much is too dreamy for the clubs. Wonderfully narcotic...music for dancing mirrors.
